Restoration in February and March 2010

Pat has been extremely busy working on the house - everything from removing trash to foundation work. We have found many interesting items as well as critters in and outside of the home. Right now, we have a few bats which will soon be finding a new home. Some items of interest are a star pin, a Masonic certificate, magazines, Reader's Digests and a letter from an astrologist from the early 1900's.

This home has some great qualities. Unfortunately, many people (trespassers) have caused damage to the home over the last several years while abandoned. Pat will try to preserve what he can to keep as much of it as original as possible.

We have a vision and can't wait to unveil the final product. It will be many months, though. Please check back periodically to see what else we've accomplished.

  1. Congratulations on your wisdom and energy rescuing this architectural gem from decay. I knew Miss Fay Baughman and Mrs. Themla Jones, the last two Baughman sisters to occupy Edgewood. They loved this place and would relish what you are doing to revive her. She is worth all the effort.

PS Have you considered contacting one of the HGTV shows about covering the restoration and repair? mg
